Nicholas was born in Kenya, and professed his Christian faith as a child. After confirmation of his faith, he began to become passionate about and enjoyed his salvation. He was called into the ministry of word and sacrament during his youthful years. He attended the Reformed Institute for Theological Training, a Bible school of his church and an affiliated college of St. Paul’s University Limuru in Kenya. Which is where he also trained as a minister.

Nicholas is married to Mercy Cherotich Kosgei, and they received the blessing of their first-born Son. After graduating from Africa International Bachelor’s degree in Theology. They received the blessing of a second born child, who is their Daughter. To this union two more Sons and one more Daughter was born. As a full-time national youth coordinator of the entire denomination fostering Christian fellowship among the Reformed Church of East Africa’s youth, Nicholas worked with various international organizations to develop regional programs to grow the capacity of youth workers in various countries of east Africa. Doing so enabled him to develop his skills for ministering to not only with the youth, but also to different communities and cultures.

Nicholas is currently an international student at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Where he is pursuing Masters of Theological Studies. He has provided clinical pastoral education at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Which afforded him the opportunity to learn foundational skills and concepts essential for pastoral care. As a Chaplain PRN at St Mary SSM, he sought an opportunity to minister to patients, families, and the healthcare teams.
