What Chapel Means to the Youth at Lakeside Detention Center

We believe in the work that we do for the children in the detention centers but we don’t always know what that may mean to the children.
Recently, the children at Lakeside Detention Center were asked “what did you like the most about Chapel?” Below are 15 responses.Thank you to those who help support the chaplains and provide for their presence in the centers.
- The songs and coming down here praying.
- It is a place to be real.
- Praying!
- That we come down here to learn about god.
- the discussions.
- I like the different conversatons that we discuss.
- Everything. The spirit!

- Me and what the Chapel is about to us.
- It give me a chance to be out the cottage and worship the lord.

- Everything I learned that I didn't know about life and God.
- her songs & the preaches she gave.
- When I fill like things are getting over my head and to much to bear hearing god words take some of the presser off of me.
