Moment in Time was successful in a multitude of ways. A record crowd of 225 guests came together at the Hilton Frontenac on Friday night, September 25 to celebrate and support the work of Episcopal City Mission in the juvenile detention centers in St. Louis.

The evening included a speech from Bishop George Wayne Smith. He spoke about the treasure that ECM is for the Diocese of Missouri. Chaplain Mickey Hassler was recognized for his ten years of service at ECM. Retired Bishop of Missouri Hays Rockwell attended this year’s event and reminded us to be grateful. The featured speaker was the Honorable Jimmie M. Edwards, Circuit Judge for St. Louis. Judge Edwards spoke about the importance of having chaplains available for the children in the detention centers and that we must all be aware of the importance of caring adults in their lives.
